Functional Five Fitness Screen

As part of our Therapeutic Exercise class, we performed a service project at the Ashwaubenon Middle School. For two days we went to the gym classes and administered the end of year Functional Five Screen to the 6th-8th grade students. We scored their performance and gave them tips on how to improve their on the tasks they had difficulty with. In the Spring we came back to the school and administered the beginning of year Functional Five Screening. This time we were each assigned a student and provided with their score card. We were asked to select a task or two and provide correctional exercises and education for that student. Our PTA class was presented with an award from the middle school for our participation in this service project.
